If you are not to tell them about Me to your friends who will? If you're not to tell your family, sibling, and sons and daughters and brothers and sisters and then who will? Isn't it that when you have good news it's never unusual to tell this to others and letting them know I am who I am?
Jacob favoured Joseph because he knows to read and write and able to chant the stories of Jacob's forefathers. Nothing left by chance but purposely aimed to not to forget who we are. God as all knowing he knows that Rebecca is to favour Jacob from both twins Esau and Jacob.
Israel means servant.
It isn't predestined that Esau is less loved as Cain from Abel. But check on your self you mind and heart why do you do such the unwanted.

John 15 | in between Bible adventure
I no longer call you slaves. Because a slave does not know what his master is doing. I have called you friends.
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.
If I am in you you will know for the fruits are clearly seen. Patience, contentment, obedience, strength, prayerfulness, and direction. You're lamb amongst wolves. You're in this world but not of this world. The heavens and the angels see you. You have potentials beyond your knowledge. Seek and you shall find. Obey and read my Words. Do not lose your identity. Know always who you are - my child my loved child.
I am in you and you in Me.

Egypt & Exodus P1 | Bible adventurer
Four hundred years in Egypt. After Joseph and his clan moved in saving them from famine. And then the next pharaoh doesn't know Joseph. Hebrews becomes workers of the pharaoh making clays and bricks as raw materials in making buildings.
They now talk, eat and walk like an Egyptian. They lost their story. Though God was with all along the way, they forgot who they were - God's firstborn.
I Am Who I Am revealed to Moses. Man cannot contain, with unpronounceable name, Him who was who is and who will be. Though man gain access again to God since the time when people call on to Him and that was Abraham, Isaac and Jacob's time.
God has seen their affliction. They are denied of a three-days journey or days off to know and be back by worshipping God their identity in what we worship.

Patriarchs P1 | Bible adventurer
Live, limited entries from Noy.
I thought it'd be better to have an adventure on our basic Faith before an adventure with the land- be it native or the promised land. (2001)
If I were rich, I'd have the time that I lack
To sit in the synagogue and pray.
And maybe have a seat by the Eastern wall.
And I'd discuss the holy books with the learned men, several hours every day.
That would be the sweetest thing of all.

From Genesis to Revelation.
From creation to salvation promise
Session 4 (quoted from TBT pp29)
As the world became populated, the descendants of Adam and Eve continued to make choices similar to the one that precipitated their fall from grace. Over time, two types of civilizations few up: some people, like Enoch and Noah, called on God's name and worshipped him; others were more like Cain--violent and wicked, choosing self over God.
Genesis 11 - 12 shows the preparation of a nation promised by God to Abram.
Personal. My views of the Jews or Israelites were they are the chosen people. They are I think. But not only them but those who in spirit Israel-like faith to the one and only God. And for Catholics believing in the trinity - God the Father, the Son and the Spirit.
Man by nature is sinful. From my thoughts, eye sight, heart and to actions. Indeed Paul is right "gusto kong bumait pero di ko magawa" ( those right things I want to do I do not do. Instead I do what's wrong. I'm doomed without Christ. )
Every time is an opportunity of both angels and the fallen the good and the bad in my mind my heart and my soul.
The battle of the mind ( by a writer) starts it. Then decisions are made - going right or going left. Then actions based on the mind and what was decided and then retaining inside my heart.
Genesis 12. Calling Abram to leave everything and travel to a new place where he will make of him a nation, a new kind of civilization that will CALL on God's name. And walk with God.
Abram->struggle with childlessness->ultimate test of giving his son up -> to the making of the nation of God.
God's Promise to Abram
Three-fold promise to Abram
1. Land Promise- fulfilled in Mose
2. Kingdom Promise - fulfilled in David
3. Promise of Worldwide Blessing - fulfilled in Jesus
God's covenant to Abraham
